Wet AMD and DME treatment surveys launch

Written by Hayley

Our colleagues at Retina International are excited to announce the launch of the wet AMD and DME treatment survey. They are seeking the views and experiences of patients and caregivers living with wet Age-related Macular Degeneration (wet AMD) and Diabetes-related Macular Edema (DME) regarding the current treatment pathways.

These surveys, which have been co-created by patients, will help those advocating for improvements to the delivery of care to better understand the challenges that currently exist. This data will help the global community of patient advocates to identify what improvements can be made to care pathways and develop robust policies to address this need.

Over 200 million individuals are affected by AMD and DME globally today and this number will continue to rise each year. With this in mind, there is an urgent need to better understand the current care pathways used to manage AMD and DME from the point of view of patients and their caregivers.

Patient and caregiver experiences and perspectives are especially important.
