Census 2021

Written by Hayley

Don't forget that this weekend is Census weekend. You should have received your household pack in the post. Census information helps make sure that our communities get the services they need. It informs things that affect all of us, like transport, education and healthcare.

It also helps lots of other people and organisations do their work. For example, charities like Wakefield District Sight Aid might use census information as evidence to get funding. That’s why it’s so important that we all get involved and encourage our networks to do the same.

Our friends at Visionary, a membership organisation for local sight loss charities, have shared some useful information relevant for people with low vision about the Census on their website: https://visionary.org.uk/censu...

If you need help to access and complete your Census form, please ring a Census advisor free on 0800 141 2021. The helpline is open from 8am - 8pm every day up to and including this weekend. They are experiencing high call volumes, so please do be patient.
