Appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer

Wakefield and District Sight Aid, the local charity supporting local visually impaired people, is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive, Hayley Grocock.

We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Hayley Grocock as Chief Executive Officer.
Hayley, who has a varied background spanning the private sector, social enterprise and third sector, took up her position on the 25th September 2017.
Hayley said: “It is a great pleasure to be joining the charity at a time when we are approaching our 150th anniversary. My recent work with fuel poverty charity National Energy Action has been focussed on running community-based projects supporting people with a variety of needs, including mobility and sensory issues, to keep warm and well at home. I hope my experience will stand me in good stead for helping Wakefield District Sight Aid move forward into the next exciting phase of its development.

“We depend heavily on voluntary donations to help us deliver vital local services to around 1,000 of Wakefield’s estimated 2,500 visually impaired people. I am really interested in exploring how we can build links with the local business community to raise awareness of the support we can offer and create mutually beneficial partnerships to ensure the financial sustainability of our great organisation into the future.”
